Waiting for autumn

I am so sorry, but as a winter born child I'm getting a little sick of the 30 °c-weather :-) I prefer spring as my favourite season and I'm content with summertime up to 27°, but that's too much. Now what I actually wanted to tell is that (fake) fur collars and elegant looking jackets are my first favourites of this year. I like the collar of the Moschino Cheap&Chic ready-to-wear show with its grand bow. it's a perfect collaboration with that chequered collage-coat. It's so sweet! (By the way: you should have a look at the whole looks, they're so awesome!)

Breakaway

Since I was a little girl I loved to listen and dance to oldies of the fifties and sixties. And I do it still. This music makes me always feel happy regardless what happened in the day. For me Ella Fitzgerald has the greates singer's voice for all time or Hank Ballard and The Midnighters did the greatest dance music. For the time being I like to listen to Irma Thomas' "Breakaway" That song makes you really feel to "break-a-way" :-)

And another singer

This is Ellie Goulding. At the moment I'm listening to her songs "Under The Sheets" and "Starry Eyed". Both are great but I've not listened to the texts yet. I will when I take the album someday.

Another Rykiel

You know, I love her designs... Today I've discovered this here accidentally: Carrie alias Sarah Jessica Parker  had worn this outfit specially designed by Sonia Rykiel for "Carrie's arrival in Paris" (SATC/ Season 6/ Episode 20). And I can't describe how beautiful it is. This striped "pull" with a grand rose as accent, ...the  sparkeling jacket and the hat, of course! I like that kind of "chique". IThis look is playful and elegant concurrently. I love, love, love it ;-) The only harm of this scene is that (for me) Carrie doesn't fit in with the role of a "femme rykiel".

A top and a skirt

This weekend the weather was too warm and felt to wear just a casual top and a wonderful light skirt. I think sometimes you  want to choose those clothes in which you feel yourself like a princess however it's to easygoing or not. It has to be to be easygoing. And a top and a skirt is that outfit in which I feel like a princess in summer :-) But still you don't have to forget to "harmonize" those pieces together. Here are some examples. Divin Idylle

Vanessa Paradis - Divin Idylle... Vanessa is so wonderful, you might know her from chanel campaigns or better as the partner of lovely Johnny Depp. The songs are all in French. I think she dedicates these songs to her husband and her children because she always sings personaly. One of my favourite songs is "Divin Idylle" (I heard it for a several time when I was amorous :-)) and "Des que j' te vois" (it sounds great for itself and it's very romantic). I love French!

Jeux d'enfants

The french actress Marion Cotillard is one of my contemporary favourites. In the movie "Jeux d'enfants" (Love me if you dare) she and her boyfriend in real (Guillaume Canet) embody a couple which exchanges a toy carrousel by betting permanently from their childhood on. Their game is attended by the love and hate between each other. I think the movie is a modern fairy tale with a gleaming end.

Yves Saint Laurent

For a moment I thought about some years ago when I started to be interest in fashion designers. First it began with Christian Dior and Coco Chanel. Another one was Yves Saint Laurent. I worked with a book about drawing fashion concepts, there was that part about dresses inspired by artworks and Saint Laurent's "Mondrian-dress" was an example. I like his casual, sometimes masculine, still feminine costumes.

It's time for lipsticks

I am conditioned to lipsticks! I like it when my lips are red; naturally my lips are red when it's cold and my face is freezing :-) but whenever I'm looking into a mirror I have to push them up with some color. At the moment I'm using Moisture Extreme Lipstick by Jade Maybelline because it makes your lips so soft and don't give an exagerated lipstick-look. That doesn't mean that I'm against it. I have to accentuate that I prefer lipsticks instead of lipgloss. The other one is to girlish and doesn't have a classical look. And: One day I will endow myself "coco rouge" by Chanel because it's one of the greatest classical lipsticks.

So Rykiel!

Sonia Rykiel's looks seem to be so cuddly and chic. I love her designs. This winter she sets for frisky cotton jerseys and dresses. -and of course tights! It makes me waiting gracefully for winter this year.

This Side Holywood

This is an earlier (I think Japanese?) Vogue editorial. The color tones and the subtle elegance behind all the galmour of that cheesy baroque interiour pleases me some much. I love french interiors!
The rose skirt of model Shalom Harlow is adorable as well. It looks like a soft drapery on the spotted tights and is so glamorous.

Peonies

For my last day of school I wish a bouquet of peonies.

Movie actresse's looks

I do have a lot of favourite movie actresses who I adore and who inspire me. On "movie actresse's looks" you can see some favourites.
I'm starting with Grace Kelly -what can I say? She's so grace! In "Rear window" she embodies a kind of cultivated society girl with great sense for fashion. Her dresses are wonderful:

"inthemood color changing nail poolish"

Dear, I've discovered that nail poolish in the current German Vogue issue. It works like the well known mood-rings which change their colors according to your moods (but actually to your body's temperature). In some way I'm a fan of things like that.
If you want to you can check the website:

Oh, before forgetting to mention: do you know that movie "Aquamarine"? It's rather a typical teenage-movie, but its story is great. There you meet this mermaid, who also has nails which change their color. I think the "phenomena" became real...

Another lovely dress from Zara

This romantic dress is so girly and childish. It reminds me on an old dress when I was a little girl. I love to wear it again.

Ken

I don't even know if Baptiste Giabiconi is noted from everyone; I always reconized him on Chanel Campaigns but the most famous picture is this one here. He is very very similar to lovely Ken from our childhood :-)

Caravaggio

I like these peintures of the italian artist. He is able to play with lights.

Shoes

It pleases me combinating light coloured pumps with dark tight like on the first picture. The look reminds me a little on Minnie Mouse (ties!) :-)
Alternatives are these ones from ILoveVintage which also pleased me very.

Flowers

These floret shorts look very lovely by wearing them with something casual like a white top and a black jersey. Especially this tee with frills on its sleeves is a fitting addition to the flower prints.
On cold days I would wear them with black or dark blue tights and a lighter top. Label: Warehouse

Reading "The Painted Kiss"

This is a book about the austrian artist Gustav Klimt, well rather about his muse Emilie Flöge. Klimts paintings are wonderful. He often painted this woman and she's most of all known for the picture "Der Kuss - The Kiss".

Lovely dresses

These dresses from Zara.com are so wonderful. I'm so excited to go for shopping next week and hope that I can find them in the boutique. The one that I love the most has white-orange stripes on the top and flowers on the rock. The other orange one with a bow is also very adorabel.

Stripes!

I love, love, love stripes. Stripes make you artless, elegant and cute. Some of my favourite Designers like Sonia Rykiel or Jean Paul Gaultier show it too.
